I've spent more than 1500 hours and 125,000 euros in consulting, therapy, mastermind, high-level coaching, etc. Here is what I've learned...
I save you 1500 hours and over 125,000 euros
In this last newsletter of March, I am going to help you save a lot of time (and money) by sharing what I have learned from investing in myself over the past 10 years!
It is these principles that ultimately make a profound difference...
It seems to me healthy and obligatory to continue to invest in oneself when one advises and accompanies others.
I have spent thousands of hours training, questioning, observing and surrounding myself, hundreds of hours in support, events, coaching, therapy, mentoring... and I am still investing in myself!
💡 Here are the principles that have created the most awareness, triggers, quantum leaps...
Of course, I am sharing the summary of these principles; it is no substitute for working on them on a case-by-case basis and all the depth that comes from doing so...
It is essential to stop constantly digging and learning to live with your problems too
While working on oneself is essential, one can quickly fall into a wandering that goes from problem to problem, from trauma to trauma... without ever getting out of it!
Not everything will be resolved, but it can be useful to learn to suffer less or not to let them hold us back. Let's live with our wounds without letting them be too toxic for us and those around us...
It's the line between introspection and working on oneself vs. continuing to dig a hole of problems without ever getting out.
Good questions set you free more than answers do
It's so frustrating!
I've traveled the world in search of answers, and each time, I was asked more questions!
But I realized that it was precisely these questions that allowed me to find the answers within myself :).
The best coaches, mentors and therapists who have helped me have asked the best possible questions.
I have seen that directed questions can unlock more than years of conventional research. Asking the RIGHT questions changes everything. I have even made it a routine with journaling and introspection.
Outside noise blurs your internal compass
The opinions of others, social pressure and comparisons mask our true direction.
Cutting out this noise is essential to hear our inner voice.
We are too much in an endless race without ever taking the time to listen to ourselves!
Taking time for yourself, asking yourself the right questions, and just taking time out is essential!
Moreover, the more we get to know ourselves, the more we gain in confidence, grounding and solidity in the storms where we risk becoming impressionable.
Self-knowledge remains the ultimate key, and it is a lifelong process.
The child within is our worst enemy and best ally
The child within us can bring out our insecurities at any moment, but it is also our best guide!
Whether it's about what we need to work on... or the direction we need to take!
When I listen to “my inner child”, I always make the right decisions, because it's the one that seeks joy and fulfillment.
There is no better model except...
When we look for the best strategies, we tend to want to model... We are bombarded with the best strategies of the moment!
However, what works for others is not necessarily good for you...
That's why I've never got on with those who wanted to make me fit into their model or vision; I prefer those who are interested in my profile and design with me. That's also why I want to respect the way my clients work and their personalities when I support them.
Hence the value of testing, experimenting and finding what works for YOU! And always listen to the people who are really interested in you, not those who want to make you over-adapt.
The best model comes from you; and that goes for organization, strategy, career, etc.
The best response to anxiety and fears
For a long time, I had an anxious mind with a brain that never stopped creating catastrophic scenarios that never came to pass.
I learned two responses to this: coming back to the present moment (breathing, meditation) and really learning to detach, to let go...
While there may be underlying causes to work on in the long term, we can quickly reduce the symptoms by learning to refocus and concentrate on what we can control.
Get over your ruminations, take action, move forward, refocus and let go...
People don't care about you!
I have often found that my fear of failure, my anxiety, my insecurities... are often linked to how others see me and my fear of disappointing them or being perceived as a loser.
Good news:
The spotlight effect only exists in our heads! We overestimate what others think of us and the importance they attach to it.
Nobody judges you as much as you think they do. Others are too busy worrying about their own image.
You can't even imagine the potential you gain by detaching yourself from this prison of other people's gaze...
Changing your beliefs changes your reality
The most powerful lever I have discovered is the interruption of habitual thought patterns.
That's why elite masterminds and more advanced mentors are so effective.
We had our own biases, limitations, growths, areas of fog... whether it was about money, time, society, business, relationships, our own perception of ourselves.
Each quantum leap is a change in mindset, in state.
Most importantly:
For a long time, I believed that in order to move forward, you had to do more. More strategy. More organization. More discipline.
The biggest lesson?
It's not what you do that changes everything. It's the inner clarity with which you do it.
The intention, the energy, the state of mind > The act itself: that's what makes the difference!
❓ I have learned to ask the real questions.
🧭 To differentiate intuition from ego.
😨 To hear fear without letting it decide.
🌊 To feel when it's flow... or escape.
And above all: MAKE IT SIMPLE MAKE IT SIMPLE MAKE IT SIMPLE!
Today, I realize that structured introspection is one of the most powerful things we can offer ourselves.
Not the kind that goes around in circles. But the kind that illuminates, aligns, refocuses.
A framework for a real reset, to take a fresh look at yourself, how you work, your invisible blockages... and above all, your next choices.
Because sometimes, the next step doesn't require more productivity. It requires more truth.
